With this tour, he’s celebrating his three fields of expertise: surfing, filmmaking, and, of course, music. The American singer-songwriter hails from Hawaii, where he grew up surfing and making music. After being introduced to Garrett Dutton of the band G. Love & Special Sauce, his song Rodeo Clowns got him featured in their Philadelphonic album in 1999. Johnson knew his music was meant to be heard by the world, and he has made eight albums throughout his remarkable career while still pursuing filmmaking. With over 12.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, his songs have also been nominated for the Grammy and the Billboard Awards. The surf rock singer continues to live a humble life despite his music career’s undeniable success, as he actively helps Hawaiian communities in their efforts to preserve the environment. Like his previous tours, this tour will also benefit organizations that tackle ocean conservation.
With his easy-going, laid-back music and persona, Johnson has surely made friends along the way. Now, three musical acts are joining him as he gets on the road in 2026. First are the Ecuadorian-Swiss brother duo Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez who make up the Latin instrumental band Hermanos Gutiérrez. This year, Johnson released their collaboration song Hold On To The Light that also serves as the teaser for this upcoming tour. The band blends Latin and Western instrumental music very well, and it will definitely take Johnson’s acoustic show to the next level.
The second band that is also joining Johnson on tour is Lake Street Dive from Massachusetts. Initially planning to play as an improvised country band, they have evolved to their own sound of pop soul and alt-jazz and have poured it into their eight albums. The band has always been dedicated to making the crowd's energy reflect on stage, and that's exactly what they plan to do on this tour.
Garrett Dutton, more popularly known as G.Love, rose to prominence as the frontman of the band G.Love & Special Sauce. The blues, soul, and rock sound of the band has allowed them to experience a lot of touring and release 10 studio albums. His close ties with Johnson brings him to this tour, and their fans cannot wait to see them perform together again.
