Through his album “Less Wise” in 2010, Meridith Cody Jinks stepped into the music industry. He is a 43-year-old American outlaw country music singer-songwriter from Haltom City, United States. He started learning to play a few music riffs on the guitar from his father when he was 16 but soon formed a heavy metal band. He started out as the lead singer of a thrash metal band from Fort Worth named Unchecked Aggression and played as the lead guitarist.

He had made a modified version of his debut album and released it in 2017 with three extra tracks. On August 12, 2016, his sixth self-released album called “I’m Not the Devil” topped at number 4 on the Top Country Albums chart.

His 2015’s “Adobe Sessions” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), while the single “Must Be the Whiskey” from the “Lifers (2018)” album and the song “Loud and Heavy” certified double platinum. His other songs “Mamma Song,” “I'm Not the Devil,” as well as “Cast No stones,” were certified gold. Cody was named MusicRow’s 2023 Independent Artist of the Year for the second time at the start of 2023.

Last November 28, 2023, he announced in his X (formerly Twitter) account the arrival of a new album titled “Change the Game,” which will drop on 22nd March next year, according to him. This is a compilation of 12 songs including the recent single “Outlaws and Mustangs” and a new song called “Take This Bottle,” featuring Pearl. Cody is one of the premiere artists in the independent music industry. He has done everything completely on his own, proving that hard work and great music are all you really need to survive and make your name in the music industry.

Cody Jinks is currently touring across the country and has 35 upcoming concerts. Surely featuring the “Change the Game” album, he will hold a concert at the Wharf Amphitheater on Thursday, 2nd May 2024. Secure your spots, as tickets are now on sale, so don’t miss your chance to see Cody perform live in front of you. See you there, Jinks fan!
